The tower hotel was in an excellent location for my conference at the institute for child health. Close by but in quiet street. Room very clean and comfortable. Only problem people leaving very early (alarm clock at about 4am!) and making a noise, but that's not the hotel's fault. Breakfast good. Would recommend it.
The location was great. The breakfast was pretty good and the coffee was excellent. The dining room, food selection and china were very nice. The staff was very nice and helpful. When I asked for an alarm clock and a fan, they provided us with one. The bed was comfortable. We didn't have any problems with the shower; I had read problems getting hot water at other hotels. This one had electric water heater in the shower and each shower was warm. I thought it was a very nice place to stay and I would stay there again.
The room seemed to slant downward (assumed because it is a very old building). The dining room wasn't opened timely in the morning and we had to wait until someone unlocked the door. When I needed a fork for a salad that we bought at the store, I tried to see if I could get one from the kitchen, but the door was locked. So, I had to go out and find a fast food restaurant to find a plastic fork. It would be nice to have the kitchen available during the day for small items like a spoon or a fork; or if we needed to microwave something.
Not a redeeming feature for this establishment except for the location. Extremely overpriced, the bathroom was filthy, the room was noisy and several items in the room were malfunctioning. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone!
Convenient location. Informal. Historical building.
Woken up twice by noisy people in street - but due to the convenient location this was to be expected. Knowing in advance that this was likely made it much less irritating!
Great location right in the centre of Oxford, helpful staff and just a lovely old building to stay in.
old small house but very clean. the manager gave us kind advices to vistit the city. I love its pretty dining room and kitchen.the breakfast was delicilus. it was written continental but with good salmon and ham.actually it was a kind of experience to visit friend's or relative's home.
there is no lift. so you must bring your belongings up by yourself. the hot water does not run fully.
Friendly, no fuss, very central
The Tower House was comfortable and staff helpful and friendly. Hotel very central and full of character architecturally with lovely antiques. Breakfast room also good - relaxing room with lovely antiques and cotton tablecloth and decent choice of good quality breakfast choices.
Heating didn't need to be on for so long as really warm.
Excellent location, very nice breakfast, beautiful room, excellent bath facilities (though a bathtub would have been nice, I know there was no room), kind and helpful staff, very clean. Just lovely.
I rated comfort "good" rather than "excellent" because I would have liked a better quality mattress and pillows. Again, they were very good, but places like the Kimpton chain of hotels have really, really comfortable mattresses and pillows, and I got spoiled! Not a complaint, just a comment.
A small, historic house in a quiet street but right in the middle of Oxford within walking distance of all the sights and the railway.
The location was perfect, the room comfortable and cute, and the staff friendly and helpful.
I was impressed by everything at the Tower House, the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable with freeview TV and well equipped.
The Tower Hotel is in a wonderful location for exploring Oxford. with Each room individually decoratedand very relaxing.I felt very welcomed The breakfast was fantastic.
The place was so good that I decided to stay an extra night and so changed rooms. The nearby students in this room were a bit noisy but a guess it was because it was the start of the academic year. The beds would benefit from a top sheet as it got rather warm.
fabulous manager, kind and helpful. Heritage room, very clean and comfortable. Great breakfasts, with thoughtful service. Location was fanastic, so close to everything.
Excellent location, right in heart of Oxford
